Tyler and Kat have been married since 2014 and have two children, Liam and Lucie. Kat grew up in northern Minnesota before moving to Ankeny. Tyler grew up in Iowa and attended Faith Baptist Bible College where he and Kat met. They served in the youth ministry at Saylorville Church as volunteer youth leaders from 2013 until 2016 when Tyler came on staff as a Saylorville intern and continued this role until he became the interim student ministries director in 2018. In the fall of 2018, they joined the Association of Baptist for World Evangelism (ABWE) and were sent out by Saylorville Church to France as full-time missionaries in 2020. They are currently ministering in La Rochelle, France.
